Vocational training as part of your studies in year 11 and 12Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses are available for study by students as part of their High School Certificate, that is, Years 11 and 12 education. VET courses lead to nationally recognised, Australian Quality Training Framework (AQF) qualifications, which can be either full certificates or partial completions.
These courses can provide a head start towards a career or pathways to further study, either in the workplace or via tertiary education.
As well as expanding opportunities for senior secondary school students, VET in Schools programs also address the employment needs of industry. VET in Schools programs are typically delivered through partnerships between schools, industry and a training provider and often include opportunities for students to participate in workplace learning.
MEGT Institute has developed Certificate II and III programs which give students opportunity to achieve a Statement of Attainment towards a national qualification. Some of the courses include; Business & Finance, Carpentry and Electrotechnology, Children’s Services, Hospitality and Retail
MEGT’s VET in Schools programs offer secondary schools a choice of two training options.
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), MEGT Institute, works with the Secondary School with each delivering components of the course.
