Pre-apprenticeships

A pre-apprenticeship course with MEGT Institute can set you on the path to enter the trade you have chosen for a career.

Our courses will help to:

• Prepare you for the working environment
• Give you some basic skills, or improve your existing skills, and
• Prepare you for apprenticeship training

Pre-apprenticeship (or pre-vocational) courses are Certificate II level qualifications. Skills Victoria recognises these courses as a pathway qualification.

These stand alone courses can be a stepping stone to an apprenticeship. You do not need an employer to complete your Certificate II, all practical and theory work will be completed in our state-of-the-art Trade Skills Centre workshop and classroom facilities at Ringwood, Victoria.

You will learn a range of hands-on skills and valuable theory based know-how in your chosen field. Increasingly employers are looking for work-ready applicants for apprenticeships who have gained a Certificate II, demonstrating commitment to developing skills.
