    Training and assessment methods

The delivery of retail training in the workplace is customised around the operational needs of your enterprise. MEGT use mentoring and coaching to support students to enhance their current skills or in the development of new ones. Through consultation process the trainer develops a course that suit your specific requirements.

Throughout the retail training, the assessment is often focused around what the student does as part of their normal job role (demonstrations, work samples and so on), but may also be designed to stretch the students capabilities and analytical abilities through case studies, role plays, simulations, projects and reports. We also value the role of the workplace in the assessment process and ask supervisors to provide feedback on the students’ abilities via an easy to complete third party observation report.

We see effective training in retail as a combined approach involving the student, trainer and workplace supervisor/manager in the process.
