The Retail industry is diverse, so jobs are both varied and rewarding.

The Australian Retail trade workforce is relatively low-skilled, with 62% without post-school qualifications; so here is your chance to stand out from the crowd. The Retail industry provides about 11% of national employment but has a much higher share in some regions.

Jobs in the industry are forecast to grow at about 1.8% a year, about the same as Australian industry overall. A recent in-depth survey of the industry, found that although there was cautious optimism about short-term prospects, a majority predicted more robust market prospects in 3 years.
