English language support throughout your studies

Whilst studying at MEGT Institute International on campus students are offered weekly assistance with their English. One hour per week MEGT Institute will hold a session for students to gain assistance with speaking, writing, listening, reading and grammar. This offer is available for all International students as a free program to further help students gain the most out of their time at MEGT Institute. Paid internships

At MEGT Institute we offer International graduating Diploma students the opportunity to undertake a paid internship. Currently this is offered for Children’s Services and Hospitality graduates. This opportunity allows students to enhance their career by working and training in Australia through the use of the Occupational Trainee Visa (OTV).

The OTV allows the worker to train and improve skills and knowledge with on the job training in their career area for up to 12 months. The job role is usually that of a new graduate training towards a managerial position. Applicants on student visas may apply in Australia but must finish their principal course first.

The minimum qualification is a Diploma and the candidate must have graduated and have their documents before applying for the visa. MEGT (Australia) Ltd is a registered sponsor with the Department of Immigration & Citizenship for the Occupational Trainee Visa (Subclass 442)

The advantages of the OTV

  • Able to work full time with training on the job
  • Must work a minimum of 30 hours per week
  • The salary must be in accordance to the award (Australian government approved) wage
  • There is no age limit on the OTV

MEGT Institute is a proud partner with Australian Internships for those International Business graduating students looking to enhance their learnt skills in a real workplace. Opportunities for graduating students are and not limited to Business, Management and Marketing graduates.

Facts about an internship in Australia;

  • An Internship can be run for as little as 6 weeks, or for as long as 24 weeks
  • All internships are full time, non paid professional training positions
  • Academic Credit may be obtained
  • Internships are available Australia wide

To be eligible for Australian Internships you must adhere to the following

  • Be between the age of 18-30
  • A high level of English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0
  • Select an internship field that is directly related to your educational background
  • Be currently enrolled in a tertiary course or
  • Be a recent graduate within 12 months of course completion
  • Prove a genuine interest in the internship program
