Funding information for employers
The two main streams of assistance are subsidies and a range of financial incentives for employers. Eligibility for programs to fund training for new and existing workers varies between states, as does the requirements for attracting training subsidies.
At MEGT Institute, we hold the contracts necessary in all states to provide employers with all available funding. We have the knowledge to ensure all available opportunities are utilised and the experience to maintain and administer all requirements of these contracts and initiatives to ensure training financial assistance. Funding for Apprenticeships and traineeships
These programs support both new and existing workers with combined on the job and formalised training resulting in the award of nationally accredited qualifications. In the case of new workers, Apprentices or Trainees may be employed on training wages. Government recognises the need to encourage the employment of apprentices in industries with skill shortages and assists with a range of incentives.

Funding for students
The Victorian Training Guarantee (VTG) supports education and training for those seeking to improve their skills and increase their post-school qualification level. The Guarantee provides subsidised training for eligible school leavers, job seekers, people in the workforce and others wishing to boost their qualifications. This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding.
This program supports courses ranging from Certificate II and Pre-apprenticeship courses through to Diplomas. All our courses, across all delivery modes (including training in the workplace and on campus) are Victorian Training Guarantee-recognised and will provide eligible participants in Victoria a subsidised place.
