International delegation from Colombia to visit us

A delegation of Colombian leaders will be visiting our construction training facilities and our head office as part of their research into apprenticeship models in Australia.

The group are here as a result of the AusAID program, and are Fellowship Award recipients. The aim of the program is to strengthen partnerships between Australian organisations and partner organisations in developing countries. Successful applicants  undertake short term study, research and professional development placements in Australia.

Colombian leaders look to us for best practice in apprenticeship systems

The visitors from Colombia are leaders in their organisations which include government, technical education and universities as well as business associations. The focus of their placement in Australia is to investigate the VET sector with particular emphasis on the Australian apprenticeship system.

Their visit to MEGT will include a tour of our Trade Skills Centre and our Head Office in Ringwood, as well as a presentation on the Group Training model of apprenticeship employment.
