Our facilities

Our new Trade Skills Centre, Ringwood, Victoria, has state-of-the-art workshop facilities with the latest equipment for students to develop their trade school and other skills.

MEGT Institute’s Trade Skills Centre has 3 carpentry workshop areas for practical training, 2 electrotechnology workshop areas, and a fully-equipped sandpit for demonstrating and practising construction of trench shoring and footings. We work closely with our supplier to industry partners to ensure students have access to the latest tools and equipment.

The Trade Skills Centre is conveniently located at Ringwood, Victoria, for travel both by public transport and by car (with ample parking).

Workshop areas

Our high quality workshop areas provide space for students to carry out practical tasks.

All necessary trade resources are available, including hand and power tools, timber, and other materials and supplies, to ensure you can effectively develop your skills.

Classrooms

The Centre’s high quality classrooms are equipped to ensure an optimal training environment with carefully controlled heating, cooling and lighting, and all necessary amenities.

Computer rooms

We provide shared access to computers, including the internet for students’ use in our two ICT classrooms. We also have wireless internet access throughout the campus.

Student common room

The Trade Skills Centre has a students’ recreational common room, which includes kitchen facilities, vending machines and TV. This is a perfect area for you to relax and talk with other students between classes. An information board in the student common room advertises social activities, special offers on equipment, updates on tools, OH&S and general information.

Free parking

The Trade Skills Centre’s main car park at the rear of the building has 80 parking spaces. Enter off Pratt Street. As well, there are spaces for bicycles and motorbikes.
