Overview

CPC30208 Certificate III in Carpentry  aims to provide apprentices with training in both the housing and industrial areas of the carpentry trade.  We offer the qualification of CPC30208 Certificate III in Carpentry to be delivered two ways:

  • Through an apprenticeship program
  • Through a full time on campus program apprenticeship program

Our Trade Skills Centre offers a flexible approach to Trade School.  We are able to accept apprentice enrolments all year round.  Our on-site assessment services provide a Trade School training plan customised to the apprentice’s needs to gain quality industry training and minimises disruption to the workplace.

This is an ideal course for those who are interested in doing a full time carpentry course to gain an invaluable introduction to the carpentry trade, with training based in housing and commercial construction.

    Entry requirements for CPC30208 Certificate III in Carpentry

    You need to have completed Year 10 at an Australian school or an equivalent level of schooling. Students will be required to complete the Construction Induction Training (White Card) 21883VIC Course in Construction (OH&S Induction) as a separate course.

    Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

    Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process where a student may be granted credit or partial credit towards a qualification in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training. MEGT Institute offers all students the opportunity to apply for Skills Recognition at enrolment in the course.

    Training and Assessment Methods

    MEGT Institute’s carpentry course offers a combination of practical workshops, demonstrations, simulations, classroom activities and project work. Assessment is conducted in the classroom and in the workshop. Students engage in case studies, simulated workplace tasks, projects and written tasks.
