Our 21844VIC Certificate II in Building and Construction (Carpentry) Pre-apprenticeship program is a sound way to enter the industry to begin a career in this diverse industry. This course is a valuable pathway in gaining an apprenticeship in the trade.

Our Pre-apprentices are highly valued as new employees. This course provides students with a solid foundation of introductory industry skills and knowledge before they start work.

Practical skills

The training component of this qualification combines soundly practical project-based learning about what and how to do trade tasks and theory which explains why. Importantly, our carpentry training provides industry- relevant hands-on experience in a simulated building-site.

    Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process where a student may be granted credit or partial credit towards a qualification in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training. MEGT Institute offers all students the opportunity to apply for Skills Recognition at enrolment in the course.
