University pathways

Studying Children’s Services with MEGT Institute is a great way to make the transition between school and university studies or to develop your career if you are already in the industry

You may use your studies with us as a sound grounding in establishing a career with a pathway to university, gaining knowledge, practical experience and job qualifications on the way.

Begin your pathway to a higher qualification with either the industry entrance qualification, the Certificate III in Children’s Services and then undertake (or go straight into) the Diploma of Children’s Services.

With the Diploma, you may take the next step on your pathway to a Bachelor degree program at a university or college in Children’s Services.

Practical benefits

Taking the VET pathway with us is an excellent foundation for an introduction to the industry. You will gain invaluable practical experience and life skills as well as knowledge to succeed in degree studies.

How we help with university entrance

MEGT Institute maintains and develops on-going relationships with a number of degree awarding institutions across Victoria and NSW. At such universities, you will be granted credit points/exemptions towards a degree.

We have formal articulation arrangements with universities where you will be automatically granted credit for units studied in your Diploma program. Such articulations include:

  • Bachelor of Education (0 to 5 Years) at the University of Western Sydney (80 credit points)

MEGT diploma graduates are provided with a graded academic transcript to assist you with your university application.

Pathways

You can build upon a Certificate III Children’s Services qualification by taking a study pathway to the Diploma of Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care). Or you may choose to start a pathway to further studies by first undertaking the Diploma course.

With the Diploma, you can choose to take our articulation pathway to a bachelor degree in education at an Australian university and receive exemptions, often substantially shortening your degree studies.
